Customs Clearing

The principal activity of DAJ International Forwarding Agency is customs clearing, which means mediation in all kinds of customs procedures.

The services of customs clearing include:
  • indirect and direct representation of clients in standard and simplified customs procedures for import, export and transit
  • representing clients in customs procedures with economic impact
  • insurance and payment of customs debt for the client
  • mediation in plant health, veterinary and other procedures

With Slovenia's entry into the EU, the Slovenian customs territory extended to all members of the EC (European Community). The goods of third countries, that is the non-community countries, and the goods which are exported from the EC to third countries, must be subject to the appropriate customs procedures when imported into the EU:
  •   free circulation
  •   export clearance
  •   or perform other prescribed customs procedure
The services of customs clearance of goods are carried out in Celje, due to the implementation of simplified customs procedures, but also in all other customs offices, which have assigned responsibility for that (internal branches and border branches in EC), and in any other places if allowed from the customs authorities.

NCTS - New Computerized Transit System

In the process of posting the goods from third countries or other goods under customs supervision to the territory of the EC, transiting the EC area or the area of third countries towards the territory of the EC, the customs transit procedure must be used.

NCTS serves the customs supervision of the non-customs goods during the transit and some other exceptions. Depending on the procedure (external or internal Community transit), the T1, T2 and other forms are being used. During the procedure, clients are usually represented by an authorized representative – a forwarding agent.
